Shelter is the gritty, romantic directorial debut of Jonah Markowitz, and

From German director Angelina Maccarone (Unveiled), a romantic drama about three women on the run, saving each other and saving themselves. On Christmas Eve, Francesca's (Esther Zimmering) little sister, Antonietta, (Kim Schnitzer) runs away to Rotterdam with her musician boyfriend. On the way to find her, Francesca picks up Gerlinde, (Hannelore Elsnor) a suicidal lovesick woman. Now she has two lives to save. With the paths of three lost souls criss-crossing in Rotterdam, it’s soon hard to tell who is saving whom.
